Shade some of the squares, so that no number appears more than once in each row and in each column. Squares that are horizontally or vertically adjacent may not both be shaded. Once completed, the unshaded squares must form a single connected region - that is, for every two white cells, there is a path of white cells connecting them, in which each two consecutive cells in the path are horizontally or vertically adjacent.
