Puzzle 154: Nurikabe

 Rules for Nurikabe:

• Shade in some cells, in order to form a single contiguous shape made out of shaded cells (cells are considered touching if they share an edge, not only a corner). 
• The shaded shape may not contain any 2X2 squares.
• You may not shade a cell that has a number in it.
• The non-shaded cells (including the ones with numbers in them) will form "islands" - countiguous non-shaded shapes.
• Each island must have exactly one number in it, representing the number of cells that are parts of that island. An island can't have several numbers in it, even if they are identical.
• Each number must be part of exactly one island.

החוקים של Nurikabe:

• השחירו משבצות בטבלה כדי ליצור צורה רציפה שמורכבת ממשבצות מושחרות (משבצות נחשבות "נוגעות" אם יש להן צלע משותפת, לא רק פינה).
• בצורה המושחרת אין אף ריבוע בגודל 2X2.
• אסור להשחיר משבצות שרשום בהן מספר.
• המשבצות הלא-מושחרות (כולל אלו עם המספרים) ייצרו איים - צורות רציפות לא-מושחרות.
• כל אי חייב להכיל בדיוק מספר אחד, שמייצג את מספר המשבצות שיש באי. אי לא יכול להכיל כמה מספרים, גם אם הם זהים.

Puzzle 151: Nurikabe

 I used to shy away from Nurikabe puzzles. I'm not sure if they just didn't appeal to me, or if I tried to solve some that were just too hard. I have a theory that each type of puzzle has a Goldilocks size -  a size at which it's at its best: not too easy, but also not tedious. I think maybe small Nurikabes just work better for me, I might just not have enough patience for the large ones (or maybe as I improve at solving them, I'll enjoy larger ones more). I found this site with baby-size Nurikabes, and it is somewhat addictive. 

So I've written a few that I will share with you.

עד לא מזמן הייתה לי רתיעה מ-Nurikabe. אני לא בטוחה אם החידות האלה סתם לא משכו אותי, או שניסיתי פעם לפתור כמה שהיו לי קשות מדי. יש לי תיאוריה שלכל סוג חידה יש את הגדול המושלם - גודל שבו היא לא קלה מדי, אבל גם לא מייגעת. אני חושבת שאולי חידות Nurikabe קטנות פשוט מוצלחות יותר בשבילי, אולי פשוט אין לי מספיק סבלנות לגדולות (או שאולי ככל שאששתפר בהן, אהנה יותר גם מהגדולות). מצאתי את האתר הזה עם Nurikabe פצפונים, ויש בו מן הממכר.
